Seasonal Fruit Salad

The fruits used vary depending on the season. It’s amazing how fruits of the same season complement each other so well. Soft overripe fruits can add a sweet creamy coating to the mixture when you stir it all together.

Ingredients:

  • Tropical Fruits: Bananas, Mangoes, Pineapple, Guava
  • Exotic Fruits: Figs, Pomegranates, Persimmons
  • Pome Fruits: Apples, Pears, Asian Pears
  • Stone Fruits: Peaches, Nectarines, Apricots, Plums, Pluots, Cherries
  • Vine Fruits: Kiwi, Grapes
  • Berries: Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Blueberries, Mulberries
  • Melons: Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Honeydew
  • Citrus: Oranges, Clementines, Tangerines, Grapefruit
  • Dried Fruits: Raisins, Prunes, Dates
  • Nuts: Almonds, Walnuts, Cashews, Pecans
  • Shredded Coconut (let’s just classify it separately and skip the discussion)
  • Lemon or Lime Juice, squeezed fresh

Instructions:

Cut fruit into bite-size pieces and combine in a bowl. Add dried fruits, nuts, coconut, and/or some fresh squeezes of lemon or lime juice, if desired, and stir to combine. Serve fresh or chilled. Makes a great dessert or side to any meal.

Shredded Fruit Salad

Grate carrots and spirulize apples and/or pears. Add shredded coconut, diced pineapple, diced grapefruit, and/or any other desired fruits. Stir to combine and serve fresh or chilled.
